Keep Ken Lake Affordable
A fiscally responsible neighborhood starts with asking questions.
This year, Friends of Ken Lake have participated in almost every committee, learning about volunteer work that happens all around us, keeping the neighborhood running and costs down. Friends have connected committees, and brought proposals to the board to save money.
We have run the comparisons, pored over the budget and actual expenditures. We're starting to look at the long term financial health of the neighborhood. We've found money for stormwater management, and researched options to reduce costs.
Organizing is real work, and the real impact is that we reduce costs by working together.
And we want to tell you this, because we saw the yard sign. We need to talk about it because there may be more. Those neighbors have never talked to us, never verified their claims directly. The signs are based on assumption and not fact.
We know where this path leads. We have been on it for a year. While it's hard to talk about, assumptions like this cost real money and real opportunities.
We are available Thursday nights at 8; please come by 1800 Camelot, ask questions. Tell us what matters to you.
