Our Mission

Empowering Ken Lake Residents & Strengthening Community

Friends of Ken Lake is made up of a dedicated community of neighbors focused on enhancing the Ken Lake neighborhood through direct homeowner engagement. Our goals include improving Excellence in Governance, Community Engagement, Quality of Life, Common Areas Management, and Environmental Stewardship. By providing valuable information and promoting communication, we aim to raise awareness and drive positive change within the community.

Join us in our mission to create a better and more sustainable future for Ken Lake residents.

Our Ideas

Friends of Ken Lake is built on a community of people, passion, and ideas

Positive Collaboration

We all want a healthy and safe neighborhood. Let's ask questions and build solutions together. We aim for service over sanction.

Fiscal Responsibility & Legal Prudence

There are many tools in our toolbox to address concerns and issues within our neighborhood. Lawsuits are risky and affect us all negatively.

Healthy Lake & Green Parks

When we work together, we are better able to organize and focus on what's most essential: our lake and our parks.

Committees and Community Engagement

When everyone does a little, no one has to do too much. Friends of Ken Lake supports the volunteers we learn from.

Safety & Security

Strong communities are inherently safer as neighbors support and respect each other. Ending division is a safety issue we are ready to lead on.

Ethical & Accountable

Our job is to give you the tools and context to dialogue with us, and the training and professionalism to focus on process and policy over personality.

Amenities

Our board protects and maintains all of these amenities on behalf of our residents.
It's a big job, and we have to stay focused to do this job right!
