Public Meeting about the Kaiser Woods Trail

In one week, on 6/22/2026, there will be a public hearing about the Kaiser Woods Trail development.

Neighbors can attend in person or on Zoom. Many neighbors have already submitted comments.

You can still submit comments in person or via Zoom - be sure to register your intent to comment in the webinar registration. You can also email comments up to 2 hours before the meeting begins: cmauck@ci.olympia.wa.us.

I also want to offer a different frame on the safety concerns in the comment record. An activated trail — one that's used, visible, and connected to an engaged neighborhood — is a safety asset. Neighbors who use a trail are neighbors who notice problems and report them. That's what activation does; we saw that with the development of our current Urban Forest Trail.
