I’m grateful to everyone who opened their door, even for 30 seconds, even with reservations, even with tough questions. Thank you for the honesty, the stories, the concerns, and the encouragement. No matter what happens next, I am happy I chose conversation and connection.

No matter how this election turns out, we’ll still see each other around the lake, and we’ll still wave as we pass by. That’s what makes this community special — and worth taking care of, together.

The goal isn’t to replace compliance — it’s to add a layer of care that ensures we respond to challenges humanely and consistently.

At its core, Robert’s Rules of Order is a framework for fair, orderly, and democratic decision-making. It’s been used for over a century by organizations of all kinds — city councils, nonprofits, and neighborhood associations — to make sure that meetings are both efficient and fair.

This month, as the board struggled with decisions concerning legal action, I find myself referring back to Section 7B of our covenants, which outlines exactly how the approval process must work. It’s not a trivial point. It’s about fairness, documentation, and trust. This section protects your homeowner’s rights.

The reality: it’s extremely hard—and usually financially pointless—to build a four-plex here. Residents can relax.
